The tone was so... funny. I think J demands a certain level of respect, but the interviewer sounded rather over-awed.

Sounds like MS's hit squad is going to visit some unnamed developer soon. :p

Allard says there's 2 million Live! users. Are these real numbers, or subscriptions? I remember reading that Halo2 shipped with a free 1 (3?) month Live! trial that saw a million new subscribers, few of whom continued to subscribe.
 
They were reporting 1.4 million in January--which would have been inside any free time offering for Halo 2 while now would likely not--so if 2 million is kosher it'd new news, and I have a hard time feeling they'd let a milestone like that pass with an offhand comment in an interview, rather than putting it front-and-center in their keynote address.

Considering he says it a bit vaguely as well, it seems more like he's counting the number of people who have had an account at all--whether they are current subscribers or not, or whether they got past their trial periods.
