Wow, I own all of those games, how could I have forgotten? I guess it's just because I've seen so much pixel shaded water lately that I just forget it exists. Well, I think Adventure might use it for its 'fur-shading', and Metroid Prime for special effects(but not for the water..or are those just particle effects? heck, I don't even know what defines pixel shading, but are the special effects in prime any different than the particle effects in max payne?) I guess wind waker uses it if fur shading is considered a pixel shader effect. Oh, is wind waker fully cel-shaded, or just the characters with eveything else having simple textures? And would the blurry heat wave effects in mario sunshine be pixel shader effects? Mario 64 had them too......(but I think they would have been done with a trick with the vram then like how psx rpgs take a snap shot of the image and then alter it in their 'entering a battle' scenes)

No I don't think so, he was probably talking about the water in Mario Sunshine which certainly looks pixel shaded.
