Wow, Nice to see all the old timers posting in one place. I used to be quite active on Dimension3D, and here when Beyond3D was starting and Dimension3D fading. Then I got a job (after school) and have less time to post.
I think I was a second year Astrophysics student when the Rendition Verite V1000 versus the Voodoo 1 was all the rage at Dimension3D. I couldn't afford either

[edit] Come to think of it, I remember discussing image quality and many of us coming to the conclusion that what we really need (circa TNT1) is FSAA + Anisotropic filtering at reasonable speed. At the time I had a test program that did FSAA on the TNT1 (very slow) and used its anisotropic filtering (also availableon TNT1, but very slow).
I guess now we're finally in the age of wonders, lol.
