Firefox 66.03 add on break fix.

    Easy-peasy, just install 66.04. It's not public yet, but I can't stand to see another member go another moment without a decent adblocker!

    You can also turn on the "allow studies" feature under privacy. They are using that to distribute a fix. Can turn it back off once your add-ons reactivate.

    Unfortunately on Android they haven't done anything yet. I got add-ons working again by changing xpinstall.signatures.required to false though.

    Can someone explain this situation to a non-Firefox user. What's broken and was it deliberate breakage and if so why?

    For those who are on an older FF ESR release you can do this as a workaround until it gets officially fixed:
