FIFA15

Because EA screwed up and removed EASHL from NHL15 on next-gen platforms, I have no choice but to switch to FIFA15 this year. They may have finally fixed the goalies, and the graphics(stadiums and crowds look awesome) and presentation got a big upgrade. Looks like ball control and dribbling have been improved to look a lot more realistic.

Here is a gameplay video from Xbox One!

An inexperienced player may not notice, but the players move much differently with the ball, and the ball moves differently on the field. Where FIFA14 looked like a 1080p version of the previous-gen game, this one looks like one of the big update years.

Nice to see the PC receiving the next gen treatment along with the consoles this time.

To be honest I didn't even know FIFA had still been coming out on the PC. You never hear anything about it. I thought that this year was the first PC version in a long time. Guess I was very wrong. Game should look pretty sweet on a high-end rig.

Yep I think they've all come out on PC but the PC graphics usually lag behind the consoles for some reason. FIFA14 for example used the old PS360 engine rather than the new XBO engine I think. Obviously this game being next gen only though suggests there will be parity between the systems.

Good news, everyone!

yeah the previous FIFA is hold back by concern for people that play fifa on laptops. I think EA explain that on interview with eurogamer a long time ago.

I'd have to think that a lot of more recent laptops would be able to play this next-gen fifa at 1280x720 fairly well (and on a small screen the resolution isn't as big a deal). I'm talking Intel graphics, especially the HD5000 stuff. The AMD and Nvidia powered stuff should handle it no problem.

Tried the demo. The new lighting makes the game look a lot better, but close up shots of the crowd still look really bad. During gameplay they look a lot more interesting. The most noticeable improvements are the refinement of the dribbling and the goalies. This is probably the game they should have released last year. It's not a massive change, but side-by-side you'd see the differences.

Got it for Xbox One.

So far, the visual improvements, especially the animation, are greatly appreciated. The splashing water in the rain is pretty nice too, as are the dirt smudges on the jerseys and the wear on the field.

The dribbling is improved. It's not massively different, but the tweak makes the game play a lot better. It feels a lot smoother. The ball is also more loose during play, and deflects and is blocked a lot more. It bounces around between players on deflections a lot more. I like it. The ball does not seem to be glued to players. They've also removed some of the auto-running to the ball, so you manually have to run and get it rather than being sucked onto it, which I always thought was weird.
