DX9 Question

Hey everyone,
I got this game called Moto GP 2, and DX 9 graphics card is listed in the system requirements. I would like to know if these 2 effects are DX9 and what the effects are. The first is when your going on the motor cycle and you reach about 150 or so the scenery starts to blur and it's a really cool effect The other effect is where heat is riseing off the hot asphalt and it like has a wavy effect on your vision. The game in question is made by THQ.

They're not necessarily DX9 effects. You just have to have DX9 installed to run the game.

Those effects can be found in the Xbox version as well.

They`re not DX9-they`re DX8-they use the multisample buffer as an accumulation buffer for the motion blur and a pixel shader for the heat effect.
