DVD burner f**ked?

i'll check out that VSO one, along with dumping it in Nero afterwards for the menus
funnily enough, this issue was born of experiments leading up to doing DVD compilations for my mum too

Right so i got different media, some TDK i think - still DVD+R 8x though. And i get the same message.
Shall i try with DVD-R? Or shall i just not bother at all, burner's burned?
