See the logo at the back. Is that for the WiFi encryption or did Nintendo implement some sort of encryption for their games now?
 
Who here can honestly be expected to know? Besides, the one(s) who do know wouldn't be talking anyway. :p

Anyway, this is the first time I've seen the underside of the DS. Wonder if the keyring hole will remain in final production units - not that I'd want to hang my DS from a keyring! :D

Wriststrap maybe? I think that's the front of it, no?
 
Yeah, I too was thinking a wriststrap... After all, PSP has one too. Seems logical, but since the guy in the pic has a keyring in the hole that's what I called it, not knowing wether a strap will be included with a device or not. :)

My guess is that they used that as a simple security device. In the background you can see another person with a similar chain. The length allows for other people to hold the DS but still remain secured to the representative.

I guess downloadable executables are signed with Nintendo's RSA private key.
