DS Enhanced?

Like PS1 did. They didn't abandon it overnight, support just slowly shifted towards PS3.

I doubt DS Enhanced would have filtering, it would be pretty useless unless it could force it in games and nintendo doesn't like to do that. The one exception is colorizing old gameboy games on gameboy color, but that was probably only there becausae super gameboy had that feature.

I think a DS update would be smaller.

I think filtering would be a nice upgrade for DSE.

Also a display that functions as a flat panel speaker would be cool too.
