Dragon Age III: Inquisition. Standard official discussion thread [XO,PS4,PS3,X360]

ok,
Ive realised I'm not really liking this game, my god its tedious. It's the loot mechanic loot is absolutely everywhere and picking up plants is
annoying the hell out of me, but the complete-ist in me doesn't like leaving them. And there's a hell of a lot of walking.
Yup it's horrible and feels like work. Just quit it before you need medication.

I also need to know in Skyhold where do i hand in creature research items ?
It's that tower where Leliana is on the third/top floor, Dorian is on the 2nd floor with all the books (Atrium Library), Solas is at the bottom. There's a person across the room from Dorian whom you speak to.

How do I earn perks ?
IIRC (haven't touched the game in months..), perks are "bought" with "influence points" in the war room.
You get influence points by completing closing rifts and completing quests (side or main).

Not gonna happen. Being exposed to different body types might "trigger" some people.;)
Oh come on, we all know that the only body types that trigger people are non-overweight women who:
1) dare to have breasts larger than a B-cup
and/or
2) dare to use clothes that show any skin between the ankles and the collar bone.
and/or
3) dare to use tight clothes around any part of the body that isn't the neck, ankles and wrists.

Leliana used to be a sexy-dressing bard but is practically a nun now. However, I think they can do better. Her clothes are still way too tight around the hips and we all know how that triggers insecurity amongst women (it's practically body shaming) and sows rape thoughts amongst white straight men.
Here's a proposition for Dragon Age IV's female costumes, ones that should properly empower the strong female characters we should be seeing in games if we ever want the medium to grow up:

and if the dev needs "Hijab" insporation, just browse Indonesia's online stores. Hijab is the fashion trend right now. Everybody buys it and everybody have crazy amount of design. From traditional cultural to modern.

and here i am, having "unconfortable" feels while people all around me wearing them, including friends...

putting that inside game may helps my unconfortability around hijab users (we call them Hijabers).

What do you mean bought with influence points ?
I have 2 perk points and I didnt buy them
is there a buy perk points button ?

I seem to be enjoying the game, I have almost 40h on it and only just arrived to Skyhold. The game has lots of issues, but I can live with them. I don't play games that much anymore, so when I get to play, the games feel quite refreshing, even if the content isn't THAT special.

I am pretty certain myself that I would like this game more than Bloodborne, so taste is definitely a factor. Now that I have a bigger hdd in my PS4, this game will remain on permanently, increasing the likelyhood that I'll be playing it more in the future. There's something about Bioware games that doesn't click with me, but I still think I might like this one.

Oh, I liked it too.....for quite some time too......and I still liked the side quests when I quit. but I quit because after a while it all seems pointless. There is no feedback from the story, the story is bland as hell, and I feel no empathy/sympathy or attachment to anyone. What I liked was the various areas, but after spending a lot of time you realise I am just grinding, thats all. and th ecombat stays the same. Sense of engagement dwindles pretty fast later on.

I'm playing Xenoblade Chronicles on the 3ds right now. Fairly similar game recipe: big open word. A ton of loot. Sidequests galore. And mmo-ish combat. The difference being that everything snuggly fits together. The story isn't hermetically sealed off from the rest of the game. Sidequests seem to make more sense too since this isn't some Bioware-esque end of the world scenario where time is supposedly of the essence. And while the sidequests are mostly of the fetch and/or kill variety, they're at least uniquely framed and don't come across like some lazy check lists. You also get to search for them all by yourself since the game isn't big on map markers. Enemies don't scale with you either, making the loot (which is quite excessive) somewhat worthwhile. It's also a really interesting world. The game essentially takes place on the surface of two giant beings who appear to be frozen mid-battle. Great combat system as well.

It's nowhere near as technically sumptuous obviously, but that's a price I'm willing to pay.

I finished this today. 94h on the clock. Main guy was level 24, took down all the dragons, after that the final boss was a cake walk. I was over leveled throughout the game and thus the battles weren't very challenging. My character was two handed warrior and I had most of the time Iron Bull, Solas and Sera with me. I had fun playing this.
