Dollhouse

No, you don't have to be at all - it just support the likelihood of an Author not making such a choice by accident. ;)

I see a large number of possibilities here. One is that Alpha actually has an alter-ego. She thinks she learns fast - something she's mentioned a few times in episode 2 - but she actually shares physical memories with her alter ego. She may also be the one who killed the other people; she sounded pretty crazy about things being cut up in the episode 1 flashback (remember, I only saw episode 2, so I may be way off-base. Also, both the Dollhouse and Adam may be big bads, or Adam may actually be good - if Echo killed the people when or after Adam left - and the Dollhouse may even become a tool for good, to help people. I haven't given the series that much thought yet, but there is a lot of directions this can go in.

I definitely hope for at least three seasons.

You have to be a Literature major to know bout Adam & Eve?
Heck I can probably predict the storyarc for the first season and Im a proud maths-autist (unusable for just about anything else) :D
Alpha and Eco have a common history (done bad things to others), Alpha breaks out of his imprinted Memories and kills anyone but Echo, and now tries to breaks her mind out the same way as he did. Like by putting her into stress-situations in Episode 2.
Echo initially will turn agains the Dollhouse and then find out Alpha is the worse evil, fight him and save the Dollhouse. End Season 1.
Hopefully no season 2
I don't quite understand why you would hope that there is no season 2. I mean, if you don't like the show, just ignore it. Like I did with the entire reality TV craze. And besides, TV shows often get better with age as the actors settle into their roles.

I don't know. Seems unlikely to me. Here's my bet:
Given that it seems in most episodes, Echo is involved in helping people, and given that the leader of Dollhouse apparently claims that that was her goal in starting the organization (apparently earning lots and lots of money is only a happy side effect...that makes her nice and corrupt), my bet is that Echo will continue on with the organization. She will, however, remember more and more. She will become more and more able to resist the programming they put into her. She will go off mission more and more. Basically, she will become the anti-alpha. And she will actually make use of her memory to take Alpha down (well, perhaps...they may want him to be a long-term opponent). Her handler (I forget his name) will support her and cover for her when she goes off mission.

It will be interesting, though, to see what the past connection was between Alpha and Echo. It's clear that they had a past, one quite distinct from the other "actives", and I'm curious as to what that past is.

Gues Im bitter because with "My own worst Enemy" a similiar, but alot more interesting Series got axed. So far this series seems to be carried by Wheddons name. All IMHO of course.

Did they just reuse the Angel sets ? The main room looks like the one from Angel when they move into law offices

Well tonight's the big night, Josh said that this is the episode where things are supposed to "heat up".

I'm about to watch it, got my fingers crossed....

Just to recap, we now know that the Dollhouse has been around for more than 20 years, and is a worldwide thing.

Back to Geo's near complaint that the young guy couldn't have set it up himself, it would seem that hes just the latest in a line of scientists in this area.

The Wire is epic. My brother and I bought the two first seasons on DVD for our parents for Christmas. One day I received a call from my mother "did you say there was more The Wire? Find, buy, gimme" etc. :D

The Wire is crap. 5 series of boredom. Let's see, how does it go...

out of (approx.) 13 eps per series, they are broken down into.

Ep 1-4: Getting the team together. In later series this is still needed as the team gets broken up at the end of each series.

Ep 5-9: Trying to find one teeny tiny piece of evidence to set the wire up

Ep 10: Whinging at a judge to get the wire set up

Ep 11: Set the wire up, hear nothing useful

Ep 12: Finally hear something on the wire. Get a force together to arrest bad guy.

Ep 13: Case falls apart because: the wire was illegal, the suspect got dead by his own people, it was a friend of a politician. Team disbanded because they sucked.

Seriously, all 5 series follow this same basic outline. It might be how it is in real life, but if you want a sense of closure from your shows (which I do, I deal with real life in real life, I watch TV to get away from it for a bit thanks) then the Wire is rubbish.

Saying that Omar is a great character.

Well, I definitely thought it did.

I'm really curious about this whole "person on the inside" deal. Was this all a ruse? Is it a ploy to get Agent what's-his-name in as a handler? Or is there genuinely a person on the inside, who genuinely wants to bring down the Dollhouse? Or do they just want him chasing his tail?

As for who the inside person is, if there is one: I sincerely doubt it's geek boy (whatever his name is). Perhaps it's his new assistant? Or maybe it's the leader of that Dollhouse herself? Or perhaps Echo's handler? Or somebody we haven't met yet? Or has Alpha infiltrated the Dollhouse's computer?

Eh, well, either way, I'm really getting into the series now. Here's hoping it gets better, and continues on for a few more seasons.

I'm liking the show. Sort of reminds me of Quantum Leap in being an episodic drama with a different life each episode but instead of leaping she gets memory imprints and the handler is Al. Such a shame that Dollhouse HQ is a big presense each episode instead of just Echo and her handler. Wish we'd only see HQ at the beginning and end of episodes.
