Our fellows from Microsoft just told me that Microsoft had issued its Release Candidate 0 of the highly-anticipated DirectX 9.0 API a moment ago. To tell you the truth, there is a very small chance that the biggest software company in the world will release the final version of its long-awaited API this year. however, let's hope for the best.
By the way, according to Nvidia, Direct X 9.0 and the next-generation NV30 graphics chip schedules are aligned. The really seem to be, since today Microsoft released the Release Candidate 0 and in a week time the VPU developer from Santa Clara will officially announce its next 'Force'.
