Isn't that space?

Is it just me, or do those 3DMark03 fillrate graphs show it to be more like a 4x2 rather than an 8x1 design?
ah yes, the visionary of the industry!radar1200gs said:Now people can see why in my FP16 thread I acknowledged S3 as the 3rd player and ignored XGI.
I think the two reviews say it all really.

DeltaChrome is late (not a little but a lot) and there doesn't seem to be any next generation in the pipe prior to 2005, according to S3 themselves.
IMHO DC would have been in a way better position if it would have been released in H1 2003 and one step further a PS/VS3.0 based design for H2 2004 the latest.
Right now it makes a very decent showcasing, but would I think right now to purchase a mainstream card, DC would have a hard time convincing me over a 5700 or 9600 based sollution.
