Damn George Lucas

I just watched Attack of the Clowns on HBO this evening (had to see it in HD). Why did Lucas come up with such a great story idea, and destroy it with such poor dialog and details?

Gah. It makes the baby Luke cry.

Not to immediately go OT, but I enjoyed watching disk two of the Attack of the clones DVD. They show the creators making the film on their computers, and how the rendering was done. I found it facinating.

is that the movie where the clowns wrapped people up in cotton candy and drank their blood?

thats attack of the killer clowns from outter space . 10 bucks on dvd :)

oh silly me...that was another crack induced cinematic venture.

Didn't he produce the film miracle Howard the Duck?

Well, at least it was somewhat better than the first. Still, both are plagued by horrendous dialogue and acting.

I have no expectations for the third, but I'll probably see it anyway. :)

It made me appreciate "Starship Troppers" even more.

as Pulp Fiction helped me appreciate store chains over Mom and Pops'. Just something about Gimps in basements and gay anal rape just hurt my image of mild mannered Mom and Pop store clerks and their otherwise peaceful ways. I figure in groups at least I have the chance of being spotted by management or floor clerks while being carted off to the dungeon.

My expectations being extremely low after Episode I, I found Episode II remarkably enjoyable (with a few obvious exceptions). What I don't get however is why he didn't name it "The Clone Wars" which is an already established name and way cooler to boot... he may have saved that for the third part, but then nr. 2 and 3 would have disorientingly similar names.
