Cool gaming laptop with 3 GPUs

I have just got to know that Toshiba launches laptop with three GPUs, The combined efforts of both companies resulted in Toshiba's most powerful gaming laptop to date featuring the new highly integrated GeForce® 9400M graphics processing unit (GPU) along with a pair of NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS enthusiast-class GPUs.
That laptop must be very cool for gaming.

That must be the only thing that would be 'cool' about a rig with 200W of video power consumption though... And to power all of that, I'm sure the CPU is pretty damned beefy too.

So a laptop that would probably put scorch-marks on your lap also probably has about 15 minutes of battery life with a whopper 4-pound 12-cell battery :p Maybe I'm just missing something, but this whole thing pretty much defeats the purpose of a laptop in my opinion.

They're not laptops, they're portable desktop replacements. Anyway, it's still going to do well when using it on the go since it shuts down the twin 9800Ms and only uses the 9400M in that case. Such setups are going to be popping up everywhere in the 15.4" market (already have sorta).

Yep and I think I saw a review that showed the 9seris IGP using less energy than intels IGP. I cannot remember what it was doing though, it might have been idle, or running a benchmark, desktop etc... and such things obviously matters.

The chassis they use for their upper line laptops is massive...absolutely one huge laptop. Portable? Barely. It's really more of a desktop replacement.

That's because IT IS a desktop replacement. You know, it's a place in the laptop market that has existed for years...

What would you rather bring to a lan party or between homes? A tower, monitor, and keyboard or just this one machine?

Absolutely a great solution if your a LAN Party goer, but pretty impractical otherwise. Too small for a main home rig, too freakin' huge and heavy for any kind of travel. LAN Party Perfection however. I'd love to see this hardware platform with a 15.4" monitor. Small enough for business travel AND game worthy.
