Since some time my computer fails to boot Windows XP x64 but in safe mode, in normal mode, it will simply show the windows logo and the progress bar will run like forever (stopped it after 5/10 minutes).
Windows Vista Beta2 x86 used to boot fine, Windows Vista RC1 x64 fails miserably, even in safe mode.
(Vista RC1 did boot fine at a time)

I've tried reinstalling Windows XP x64, but when the installer reach the "Loading Windows" part, it just stop responding.
(AFAIR the numlock is still working so it's not frozen)

Anyone met such a problem, or have the least idea what's going on/what I can try/whatever that may prove useful to solve that ?

P.S.
Temperature around here have went up a lot (18->30°C), in case that matters, BIOS shown 40°C CPU & 35°C MoBo (or the other way around), so I doubt that's the problem.
(Have removed almost all devices but Video Card, will try with old Matrox Mystique 2MB PCI)
