changing my job

whiihaah.. just received an answer from IBM . they will hire me !
Enough with solicitations, endles talks and driving left & right, sending emails, talking to ugly people, repeating why I am the best person for the job...


Leaving my current job i do since 6 years will feel awkward, but F it. I feel so happy ))

If it wasnt for the 4 months I still have to do at my current job.. boohoo

I'm in Rochester, but I just applied for an opening in Perth, AU. Not a chance in hell that I'll get it, but since I'm moving there sometime next year, I figured I better start getting my names out to a few companies.

Sounds like it should be a good time. Won't be bored to death sitting at a desk all day (like me), and you get to play with hardware. I used to do hardware bring up on the highend servers, and that was a blast. Nothing like having a million dollar test machine go up in smoke to make the day exciting.

I did manage to explode a dumb terminal in the lab yesterday. I must have plugged it into 220 instead of 120, who knows. That's what they get for putting the outlets below the raised floor where I can't see them. Made a pretty good bang, and boy did the smoke pour out.

hah, would be true if it was for pc repair, but this is highend server and mainframe stuff.

speaking of that, one time i had to fix my friends dads computer (sound problem)

So i messed with the sounddriver and everything, and what i did was, open up mediaplayer and click the play button . So this way the last played fragment will play of and i will hear if the sound works or not.

Imagine, i'm in front of the pc, next left to me , Turkish conservative man , 50 years old, next right, my friend , at the back following whats going on her sister , and suddenly my friends mother pops up, (she wanted to ask something )

Really I swear, it was like how is this possible... now comes the fun part.

I clicked play and voila... hardcore porn, a dude gettin his freak on a womans face while there some stuff hapening in the background......


I felt trough the ground at that moment. hahaha.... Oh man .. i didnt know what to say and do. i just clicked stop and , said ok , your pc is fixed

JBark: yeah thats why i was intrested, so can move freely at my own pace (offcourse as far as it gets) , and stop the boring officework..

i hope to move into a sales function on day..

I fixed HW sometimes while I was a student. In one company, the boss asked me to install his camera SW and make it all work, so I did. When I plugged in the camera, there were loads of images he took of himself and his mistress. Room full of people, but fortunately for him his wife was not there. And of course the usual "Uhm, I don't know where these came from..."

finaly i received my invitiation for salary negotiations. i hope for a 500euro raise + at least a beemer

contract signed. resign asked and granted. i can continue till newyear, and the 2nd i'm official member of IBM

now the luxury prorblem, i have to choose a car .. it will be difficult

new job, new salary, new car all that on my birthday coming january.

now a new woman and i'm settled
