This interesing post about the realworld advantages to having the Cell has a PC expansion board addin seems to have peaked the interest of some folks over at IBM. It sounds like they are seriously considering developing such a card at least for specialized applications.

If done right, this idea could have a lot of potential not just in industry use but for gamers as well. And it sounds like a very efficent way for IBM to popularize development for this type of architecture.
Researchers and developers who are reluctant to drop a couple grand on a blade just for testing Cell based apps, would probably already have their wallets already out for a PC card that cost just a couple hundred bucks that could augment their already existing systems.
