About a month ago I did a total fresh install of Windows 2000. It hasn't been smooth. This time around my audio glitches on sample playback. I also now find I can't use IE for FTP as when I try to drag files into the window, I'm given a 'no can do' mouse pointer. This isn't just a problem with ftp though, as I now find I can't add files to a Zip if I open the zip utility and click 'Add Files' or try to drag files into the zip window.
Any idea how a virtually fresh install can have these problems? Could it be firewall related (I switched from Outpost Firewall to Sygate Personal Firewall)? If I have ot do ANOTHER reinstall, what else can I do to make sure things run problem and I don't develop wierd errors?
