I'm supposed to analyse a business and then determine which organisational structure it fits into.
The business is a Toy company which isn't a big business, the staff are not skilled and they don't have knowledge to streamline or automate production or office administration.
"The business is divided up into different departments."
Accounting, sales, Marketing and logistics.
The business is looking for a project manager/analyst who will be directly responsible to the CEO.
The employees of the company will work on the project as needed. Since they are a small company they don't have the funds to employ lots of people to work on the project.

I believe this fits into the Matrix structure.
The reason I believe this is because of the ability of the project manager to get staff from any department but I have not seen a matrix structure where the porject manager is directly responsible to the CEO.
The problem is that the project structure is that there are no departments within the structure.
So I'm stuck between the 2 structures.
However I believe there is enough evidence to justify it as a matrix structure.
Am I right?
