And just to be clear, 285GB MINIMUM!

That's the 'slim' / 'lite' / 'economy install' option.

What's the fastest that PS Network even provides for game downloads? Even on my Gigabit internet that would take a long time.

It entirely depends on the local CDN which seems to be crazy variable.

285GB install for the PS(5) version. Install one game at a time abit later in the generation then?

Here's what they list as file sizes across platforms:
    • PlayStation 4: 95GB
    • PlayStation 5: 133GB
    • Xbox One: 93GB
    • Xbox Series X/S: 136GB

The XSS should've shipped with the XO assets (or 1X if different).
Then patched in future to higher ones where appropriate. It seems they didn't have time to go through the XSX to create the reduced ones for XSS smart delivery yet.

XO at higher resolution would still look very good.

Still interesting that next gen is so much bigger compared to current gen, are they install sizes or download?

  13. What happened to games getting smaller installs on the 500GB SeriesS?
At this rate how many of those games can be installed on the console? 3?

700GB and below as interal storage is a fail this generation but ok. Either people need fast internet, buy expensive ext storage, or live with installing/uninstalling games, or just have portions of games at a time.

Smart delivery is working for some titles in terms of install sizes. For others it appears not.
Hopefully removing the campaign will be the go to option for Series S folks, it'll save them 50GB. But I don't know what to say. At least ti's not 250GB? LOL
haha, my PC ssd is hurting just writing that out.

Well at this point in time it's two COD games on the SS measuring at 130GB per game(364GB). Almost three.
    PS5 will be 5(700GB). XBSX 6(took XBSX at 850GB).

you referring to warzone + blops? together being 250GB? jfc man.
yea if you got MW + WZ + BLOPS you are probably nearly full on 500GB.

This is wrong. Something is dramatically wrong.

Just like everything tech related, it's all up to how it's used or not used by publishers and developers. The tools are there. Unfortunately you can't force their management to allow for developers to use them.

Yep, Black Ops iirc was over 100GB before I deleted it. I still have MW single player campaign and that's 78GB although I see MW can be up to 250GB in size. Thankfullky you can install and uninstall parts it seems.
