Bought a Grand Seiko...

After a few months of piddling around day-trading on a few penny stocks, I ended up turning roughly $43k into roughly $61k. I've always wanted an heirloom-quality watch, so I bought a Grand Seiko Elegance Summer. A few of my friends who are Swiss homers wanted me to purchase a Rolex; I just can't get into how chunky they are... They don't look good on my girly-skinny wrists

Anyway, thought I'd share my only really truly expensive vanity purchase in my life.

Really nice watch face! These make great heirlooms even if the bands don’t survive can always buy new bands. But yours look like they’ll last as well

Yeah, one thing I absolutely do like about the Rolex brand is their stainless bracelets - they're exceptional in quality. I agree with you though, even if this one isn't perfect in 20 years, I can still replcae it and the watch will be absolutely fine
