Wow, I don't know if this was special or not, I blew up my 7900gtx, booted it up with an 8800gt and it just worked! Wow, even kept my desktop resolution. I didn't even have to put the cd in, just hit windows update and it did the work for me!
Is that cool or did I just state what everyone else goes through with hardware?
BTW, I like vista... I open 100,000 windows at the same time! I can have up to 50-60 tabs open in IE, plus a game of CivIV, plus winmedia player with music, plus word for when I get work done LOL. It just works well in a stupid workload on 3gb of ram. I tried XP last week on a phenon 2.2ghz 2gb ram fresh install service pack two and it was slower to me and the specs were higher.
