Ya AI makes or breaks a FPS IMO, this game loks pretty fun, gfx are extremely good for this gen, we'll have to see how the gameplay is.

Nice! I was reading about Condemned the other day, and apparently if the AI notices you have a bigger 2x4 or pipe-wrench then they do, they'll scurry off and find something bigger, then come back and kick your ass!

I don't think there's many guns in the game, when yo find a gun you use it till the bulets are gone and that's it, most of it seems to be beating on people with pipes, wrenched, bats etc etc etc

Dunno, it looks good for a PS2 game I guess, but I'm having difficulty understanding the hype. The film is basically one huge scripted even that fills the screens with explosions. Very little to go on, both in gameplay and even aesthetics.
As for the screenshot, it does look good - I find PS2 games look much better when you add in 16X AA with anisotropic filtering. In other words, remedy two of the PS2's biggest graphical faults. Take those out and while it may be good for the PS2, there's nothing revolutionary about that shot, especially as the most detailed element is the players weapon.

yes a quetion of POV , lol ,i was one meter from him ,and instead of running and hiding , he ducked and started to crawl miserabily.I let him do this for 2 sec then head shot the poor guy.

But the only thing that might hold this game back is the lack of online support. Halo had a HUGE online following, this game won't. Maybe Black 2 will.
Minus the bump mapped gun. It looks like something out of Call of Duty 1. Nothing in that picture is impressive. Horrible textures and low polygon.

Care to point out 'these people' specifically? I'm on my second PS2, have an Xbox, my GF has my gamecube. People might be commenting on it in non-orgasmic terms simply because - gasp - they don't find it that impressive. The screenshot is ridiculous, even with levels of AA and filtering you will not get on the final version, there's still very little impressive about it._phil_ said:

the video trailer does look pretty cool! I don't like FPS's but I gotta admit this looks like good and mindless over-the-top fun. Plus by accounts gameplays not too shabby either.
