Hardware review articles say VA panels have the fewest, um the least light bleeding and also current ones would be slightly faster than your former one. Support for real 75Hz would make it a bit CRT-like as well.

I would take the chance / choose the compromise, even if at worst I'd mess with gamma or something if it's like yours.
From SB's post, me thinking an IPS is good on laptop in a sunny living room, e.g.

Oops, sorry I misinterpreted your post. For some reason I thought you were questioning whether it was VA. Yeah, no LCD is ever going to have a true black. OLED is what you'll need to get a true black.

What is going on guys? If you never saw my first post asking about BenQ Monitors, I wanted to update and give my thought on the BenQ Monitor I bought, that way if any of you are looking for a new monitor to buy then this might help! I went with the BenQ RL2455HM 24-Inch LED Console Gaming Monitor, and I must say, the console is super amazing! Lightning fast response time, I use to play on a TV and,the response times were so noticeable! The picture quality of the monitor is also crisp and super clean! I do not want to go to go too much into detail, but the monitor is great! Glad I purchased!
