Baseless Next Generation Rumors with no Technical Merits [post E3 2019, pre GDC 2020] [XBSX, PS5]

Based on both industry trends and the messaging of both companies, at this point it's really clear that neither console will include a spinning (non-optical) drive.
If lockhart becomes a thing, there's a tiny chance they decide to skip the nvme there or make it optional.

It's hard to rush a complete integration of something 4 or 5 years in advance, NVIDIA's RT efforts must have started in 2015 or 2014, (when they were planning for Volta/Turing), they were also heading toward RT since their days of accelerating RT rendering through CUDA on Fermi (2010), then Real Time RT demos on Kepler (2013), then doing some partial RT effects like HFTS, VXAO on Maxwell and Pascal.

The whole Turing architecture seems made with RT in mind, so yeah, NV probably started designing RT way long back.

17% over 2080 TI is not enough. Needs to be 50% to compete with Ampere.

Thats because its not a big Navi (505mm2 one). This is probably 60CU chip which would still likely end up ahead of 2080TI.

AMD must have some real monster of a GPU for the pc market there.

According to the link, 100-000000098-40_39/27_Y is a portable with AMD APU (16 cores CPU + Renoir GPU 8GB ram 0.5GB dedicated) + Nvidia GPU (13GB ram 6GB dedicated).

Zephyrus G GA401IV_GA401IV
AMD Eng Sample: 100-000000098-40_39/27_Y (16 CPUs), ~2.8GHz
Card name: AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics
Hybrid Graphics GPU: Integrated
Card name: NVIDIA Graphics Device
Hybrid Graphics GPU: Discrete

It's really the generation of lazy copy paste. Nobody even try to read stuff from a screenshot and type the thing manually using their keyboard.

A simple google search directly lead me to the Zephyrus link.
What's sad is a site like VideoCardz running with the story without checking it properly. I mean WCCFTech can do that, but not VideoCardz.

Er....what exactly is this last batch of posts about? Suggestions a console has an AMD and nVidia GPU? A 600 mm² SOC for something? An ASUS gaming laptop is using the same something as something console-ish?

Specs of something pasted... baseless speculation started...

Then Globby clearly cheated and used the internets.

Damn...finally we got our PS3 successor.

So...I think Arden will have 15WGPs per shader engine. 15 on each side, deactivated 1WGP = 56CUs. This will mean 5WGPs in a height. Up from 4CUs from Navi 10, and obviously upping die height from 14.2mm² to measured ~17mm².

Only way its gonna work...

Oberon will go with straight forward Navi 10 arrangement and 10WGP per shader engine.

Both will have 64ROPs.

Arden will be ~380mm² in size, Oberon 320mm².
