Some random guy jumps into the line hours early for a pics and now the PS3 has bombed. There were more pics, but I guess the singe guy one serves the purpose more for certain people...
Here is Next Generation's report on the PS3 France launch.
That picture will probably be posted to counter the "bored sales clerk-x360 launch in Japan" picture every time from now on.PS and that guy is now famous and it is the only one in the queue for the event at the Champ-Elyséee launch, you can se him on pretty much every french forum and website.
The Italians break with the program and go against the majority trend.
The French go with the early surrender.
The Germans savagely rally around the new power.
Poland is conquered in a day.
So what else has not changed since the last world war?
Sounds like the launch event at the Eiffel Tower didn't draw people. I fail to see how people are extrapolating that the PS3 has failed in France. You need sales numbers for the month, not one media event. But people love spin, doom and gloom sells.
I think I said the exact same thing when photos of the Xbox 360 launch in Japan started showing up.I fail to see how people are extrapolating that the PS3 has failed in France.
I laughed out loud when I read this:Here is Next Generation's report on the PS3 France launch.

I am very surprised by MS's brutal adverdising to hit the PS3's launch. Very hostile I must say.
I think is job is to make aius many parallels between Xbox360 and Dreamcast as possible.
remember the Xbox 1 launch in EU? sony had similar PR at some MS events. Big trucks with sony marketing across street etc.
All in good fun and MS's only point was, that they were ... late to the party. Hardly hostile IMO.
