ATI Mach64 for DOS?

Hi!

I got an ATI Mach64 and I'd like to use it for my DOS PC in order to play my old games.

Is it the right choice (wil it work with VESA drivers) or is it too new?

I think it's okay.

even better, it might work without driver where older cards need a VESA driver, if your card has a VESA 2.0 compatible BIOS.

Also, most old DOS games are 320x200 VGA, in this case you won't ever need any VESA driver.

Mach64 is probably one of the better cards for this application. It (and the mach32) had a lot of support back in the dos days.
