XT PE = PCI Express
Nope, that ain't it.

I'm not quite sure yet, but I'm pretty sure the "Poo Edition" that MuFu gave me isn't quite true... ;)

I don't think a "Poo Edition" will sell very well. That may just be me talking though.

I guess the card will score pretty well in 3DMark03, so i guess the PE refers to Penis Extender

Well, if you want to keep this thread in this forum, you might want to dissect this quote:

ATI will present the first public viewing of its latest graphics technology

Doesn't sound like its just a linkup with Dell on stuff that would have already been talked about since this is the "first viewing of ATI graphics technology". So, what do you think it could be...? ;)

Well as I mentioned, I am expecting Dell to showcase the R420 on its high-end Dimension systems. X800 Pro, XT, or both? Or are you referring to some other new technology :?: :D

If it helps any I have heard a few rumors that Dell plans to use the X800 XT and push a new high-end gaming system, but I hadn't heard anything to confirm that until now.

If "ATI will present the first public viewing of its latest graphics technology" at E3 on May12-14 then what about the WinHEC May 3-7? They have a "Ruby Tuesday" event planned May 4th from 8-11pm where there will be "three hours of unlimited gaming" at GameWorks in Seattle. Doesn't that imply the first public showing of R420 if we are to be able to "Get ready to Xperience it..."?

This E3 statement about the "first public viewing" has been confusing me all day. They wouldn't use 9800 XT's at the GameWorks demo would they? Then shouldn't E3 be the "second public viewing of its latest graphics technology"?

Also of interest, the Sega announcement for E3 and the blurb in the above link about "games created by Sega" at the GameWorks demo in Seattle.

:?:

Well if E3 isn't the first public showing of R420, then we have a new enigma to be tortured with by Dave. :?

Mobility X800 on a Dell Inspiron gaming notebook? Seems too damn early for the mobile part - M11 hasn't even had its 30 seconds of fame yet.

Toss us some scraps, Wavey :!: :devilish:

Try again; X800 Pro launch on Monday and then ATi's latest graphics technology the X800 XT/XT PE at E3.

The pro launches Monday, but then their top-end card the XT will launch on at E3....I'm still not quite sure how the XT PE fits into it all.

it doesn't matter which version is announced/showed first right - yes benchies will be lovely - but i just want to see the r4XX in action - whatever speed.

one word - link even:

check out those lips!

can you say `real time` yet? can't believe some people are dissing it as not being real time.

again the aliasing is simply awesome :D i'm just getting so aggitated waiting for the damn thing now - I *NEED* my R420!! I *NEED* RUBY!!!! I *NEED* TO SEE NV GET BITCH SLAPPED ONCE AGAIN BY ATI!!!

Hurry up ATI - you're killing us normal folk!

someone break the NDA - ATI might hate you for it, but we will love you and worship you, look after you etc etc etc! lol ;)

No, no, nooooo :!: ;)

Seriously, it makes no sense NOT to launch the flagship upon expiry of the NDA. The reviews will be for the XT next week from everything we've heard, so it will be launched simultaneously if not first. And methinks there's no such thing as a XT PE other than PCI-E. :D

monday may not be the launch day for any model, just the first showing of Ruby techo demo.

:p

Right, May4th is the day for the launch events in the US and Spain. Monday should just be the official benchmark leak day. 8)

wonder if the pe is that 600mhz version that is rumored about but most thought was not true.

Core or memory?

the rumor was for 600mhz core and others said that they may use 833mhz memory. I'm not guessing about either as I dont want ot be wrong and I have not heard anything at all about the pe version of the card.
