It was meant to serve as a bitter reminder for both sides of the fence, that we all sometimes take these 'console religions' way too seriously and end up sounding like idiots, although we are supposed to be 'grown-up professionals'. Nothing more, nothing less, and I think the last paragraph of my post made it kinda obvious.

Feel free to lock this too, I would put this answer into the locked thread but I went to sleep some time after posting it.

I only feel I should answer to this:

No. It's more likely that people who go around spreading their negative energy about perfectly innocent entertainment products have some kind of personal frustrations and unresolved issues (and that also goes for PS2 hordes celebrating the death of Dreamcast). It's very easy to praise things you like without being negative about things you don't like. In my opinion, not being negative for the sake of it, in retrospects puts more significance into one's thoughts.

The tgs post had pictures of girls in it and had nothing to do with consoles. I suggest finding another site to look at pictures of girls or go out and meet women.
