Anybody notice how low prices are getting for SD cards?

I have a 256MB USB stick I almost never use (and it's ugly), now maybe I'll get a cheap 1GB one, big enough to store a movie or a CD ISO, it can be more useful. (or I'll still wait more. .)

Yeah they're coming in the right direction that's for sure. I'm waiting for the 4GB SD cards to drop below £50 so I can get all my maps on my PDA :)

Yeah I know but 4GB is HUGE and it's only $100!

You know how many 5MP pictures I can take with that?

I'm very happy about the price drops, lol. Lots of people are aware of them. My wife recently was able to sell all of her SD cards (512MB to 1GB) for about the same price as many 2GB cards.

As for space, shoot in RAW on something like a Canon 20D and space goes very quickly. Multiple 4GBs is a must on a few hour hike.

Does the canon 20d take SD or CF cards?

Now I feel silly I bought a 2GB CF card last fall for 90ish

*Runs and checks* Ahh, its CF. I dont use the camera myself, its the wife's. I use a lowly Olympus C5000, and its uses the xD cards.
