AMD or Intel For A Game Computer?

intel will be at 3.06 GHz (with HyperThreading) very soon. (Oct or November i heard)

....

IMO intel has currently the better CPUs/Chipsets (especially when they launch their Dual DDR Chip E7205 aka Granite Bay).

I very much looking forward to see this combo in action...

Granite Bay with it's true dual channel (two 64-bit controllers) and being Intel's second-generation dual DDR implementation should set a new standard for Intel/DDR-performance. According to a post on aceshardware forum the Granite Bay chipset should begin shipping from Intel in the first half this month while boards from Asus, Abit etc. should be launched sometime in November. (I understand that the P4 3.06 should be released in the beginning of November).

The E7205 mobo + P4 3.06 will be quite expensive but at least people won't need to buy Rambus PC1066. For anyone considering buying a P4 system this fall I would recommend that people wait a bit and see the performance of the Granite Bay chipset. I know I will.

Well how can a person with any relevance tell how the stability of the AMD line compares to that of the Intel line based on 1 home PC?
Answer is they can't.

Now when a corporation's IT department picks Intel over AMD despite the AMD contract being $100,000 less expensive, well then that says something about AMD's stability compared to Intel's.

Corporations almost exclusively use Intel products. That definitely says more about stability than 1 home PC wouldnt you agree?

THAT SAYZ ABSULUTELY NOTHING ABOUT STABILITY.........
intelinside.jpg

just a few reasons why?

1. Always used intel
2. Market Leader (competition almost non excistent)
3. It always worked
4. you know cough love it and by now can handly intel cpu pms
5. expensive but see rule 1-4

And even if you want AMD some bosses are very hard to be won over.........No matter what....
There's more ofcourse why a company won't or can't go for amd for instance..........but therefor I really have to think how to explain it in english and I am to tired to do so atm.

I wonder why the AS/400 never has problems well for one there isn't an Intel Inside !

Assuming that because product A (which is owned by the majority) is better then product B (ownbed by few) just because of quantity is a bit dumb to say the least most peeps own a opel kadett so that is a better car then a royce or a mercedes I think NOT...... that is a really dumb asumption you make there......but I can't blame you cause of this:
