Age of Empires IV announced

After a 12 year-old hiatus, here's a trailer for the new Age of Empires:

No footage or screenshots or anything. Just a minute and a half video saying it's in the works.

Well, minus Dawn of War 3, Relic has a great track record for RTS games. So, I'm cautiously optimistic.

the game wasn't announced for consoles at all and I don't think it is ever going to come out on consoles. Perhaps if they announce a keyboard+mouse combo for the Xbox One X then that's a possibility. It is also the only way to make the game a uwp title.

This announcement of this game has been the highlight of the Gamescom imho.

It's AWESOME. Has it issues here and there but what a great game, I still remeber playing 2 when I was young at school.
