I have a burnt 9800 pro.
I can't have it changed due to lost warranty.

Negretta=burnt

I turned on my computer and it didn't work, I can't see anything on the screen, it shows stripes!

Holy molly talk about conincidence... fan on my 9800 died last night... it literally melted off the hs... I think Im lucky tho I jerry rigged a 80mm fan on it and played a game for 3hrs or so to see if it was damaged and all seems ok...

HS burned my finger... I think Im gonna get a zalman kit now...

Man they need to put better fans on those cards... Ive only had it about a year now...

I replaced it with an Ati silencer 3 as soon as possible.

My luck would have it it says not compatible with saphirre atlantis 9800 oem which is what I have... I ordered an artic cooler rev 3 which seems to be largely compat with 9800 pros and non pros...

There was a silver part in the way on my Sapphire 9800 Pro. This was easily fixable by cutting the plastic. The Ati silencer 3 has a copper plate, that's why I bought it. Unfortunately the aluminium fins are glued to it instead of being soldered though.
