My eldest turns 20 today, and I just realized that means I've now officially been a parent for two decades. I know today is about him and believe me that's what I'm focusing on, but I just wanted to take a second to share that fact with my friends and pat myself a bit on the back for surviving and having both kids making it so far and the wife isn't quite fed up with me. 
It's a happy thought for me, 24 years ago I was living under a bridge homeless wondering every morning when I got up wondering if today should be my last day or not because I was really sick and tired of living at that point. It is so weird how time can change things.
I guess this is just a thank you for putting up with me for all these years and keeping me sane, and a reminder that you really never know what life is going to hand you next so try your best to stick around until it gets better.
