RAM optimization

hey guys i was wondering what i could set

CAS Latency, RAS# Precharge, RAS to CAS delay, DRAM precharge delay and DRAM burst length to to get optimal performance.

currently the defaults are 2.5,4,4,8,4 respectively in the order i posted.

any input would be greatly appreciated !

OK here goes:
Set the CAS to 2.0 for a start and see if your computer boots...if it goes into Windows and runs 3DMark 2001 or some other benchmark successfully whilst running Prime95 in the background then reboot and go back into the BIOS to change another setting.

Edit: do you know how to reset the BIOS before doing anything to your RAM settings?
 
First, you have to find out what speed (MHZ) and what timings your ram is capable of running at.

Can it run at 200 mhz (400DDR) at Cas 2? Or Cas 2.5 at 233 mhz?

You must know these things before you try and mess with the settings.
 
Before messing around with memory, I suggest you get memtest86. It'll scan for errors which the POST misses and also indicates memory bandwidth.
