    When was it confirmed that they are working on a new Nintendo Console? And there is no info on Gameboy next stuff.. I don't see how the strain is THAT huge, Nvidia did the same thing a couple of years ago with XBox 1...

    What about the framebuffer access etc for neato effects like edge tracing emboss etc, like the filters in wreckless. Depth of Field etc (Tho you can do that lots of different ways, like most effects.. having framebuffer access just makes some effects simpler). That's my understanding anyway...

    last time I checked, TWIMTBP game programmers don't reccomend 9800 Pro's and Demo the games on ATI hardware ;)

    That's because lots of them use field rendering, loads (I'd be enclined to say most, but I havn't played every XBox..) XBox games don't use FSAA, the reason they look better when compaered to their PS2 counterpart is because they don't use field rendering, and they can use a nice flicker filter.

    ON TOPIC.. I've heard from a few people that GC has weak/non existent vertex proccessing capabilities, making vertex effects very costly for the system.. I thought that was a little strange, considering the generally excellent design of the Cube.
