Your Nick - How did you get your online nick?

I wanted a new nick that wasn't hardcore and gay for my saved games back in the good old days and the limit for most handles was 8 chars ( cause of the 8.3 file format) so I came up with bloodbob reasonable unique so I've kept it.

How can "sans" be an initial? I thought initials were only 1 letter? :|
Sans is French for without.

My real name is Slađan. At school I was called Sladi. In a music class we learned about Stradivari. A friend (he is Canadian) came up with Sladivadi (he was Steelvadi) and I kept Vadi which I use whenever it's possible.

Thank you, I actually did know that but was just playing the stupid guy to try and get John's goat. (He was teasing me last night via PM.)

Well, not like there's any rush on the Gainward article since Hanners shot EB dead yesterday. :devilish:

True, I'm gonna have to let Quinn get the new article caching system working before it goes online....popularity SUCKS!

(Oh man, remind me to tell you about the yahoo we had on their the other night! :( )

BTW-Nice XT review John, my only bitch was the graphs comparing AA & TAA....but you did go out of your way to explain the v-sync difference so I forgives ya. ;)

Just to keep this on-topic a bit; I took the handle "digitalwanderer" on Slashdot first I think many, many moons ago. I think I came up with it because a friend of mine in real-life was using the handle "Seeker" and I wanted something somewhat esoteric but easily remembered.

It stuck.

Yup, that's the one. (Included in quote purely for pimpage purposes. ;) )

I used to go by Mjolnir or Ahriman quite a bit, but decided using my real name was more mature.
Wow, I decided the same thing too about my real name...that's why I don't use it. :p

Funny about your other two names, I always thought you looked a bit like a Mjolnir.... :|

I got mine one day while having a lan party with the in-laws. I was doing fairly well and my father-in-law commented that the grin on my face made me look like a seriel killer or something. So since my real name's Chris, my ingame nick became Killer-Kris and it's just kind of stuck with me.

Because it bugs fundamentalist christians.. lol (notice how the word mental fits in there..)

Just sick of picking names, whatever, don't want to have some fire breathing name to live up to and don't like my real name on the net, no privacy, frigging google has be in there enough as it is.. lol

Well, boring story... Since 50% of all swedish males have the same first name as me, I thought when gaming on the C64 in the good ol' 80's it'd be cool to just change one letter to a more potent 'Magnum' to put in the highscore lists... Then I found out about the camp-ish heavy metal band by the same name so that went right out the window, LOL!

But hey, Magnum P.I. was a pretty good show... Kept it since for simplicity even if it's a bit corny nowadays. Shortened it because someone stole it when the site migrated. ;)

My net-name...

I've had this handle for my internet-presence ever since my first e-mail address years ago. Named after the main hero in a series of books called The Last Legionary Series by Douglas Hill. (80's teenage sci-fi).
