As you can see i don't play many console games. I prob own about 10 games on each of the systems. I don't really have much time for games right now , its my last semester and i want to hit a 3.7 in school so i can get into a good graduate school .

I'm bias'd to every company. You can even hear me bash sega for alot of things too.

Maybe it was the worst level to ever show off in a demo for the purposes of impressing, but from what I saw of the Shenmue II demo on the Xbox in a local Walmart, I was severly underwhelmed in the area of technical graphics. I totally did not see what all the fuss could possibly be about. Just IMO, of course.

Mabye it was a bad level . I played it with my vga adaptor on my dreamcast. Easliy the best game graphicly on the dreamcast and rivals many of the early ps2 games (the ones that looked good that is)

I thought you were expressing disappointment, especially before your edit, over a quality game like this being received so poorly at retail. I was bringing some Shen-cheer to this gloomy situation.

I hope I still can. I still sing the praises of the finest computer around - the Commodore 64, even now, about two decades after its release. Some things are so well-designed that they stand the test of time like that.

and anyway, it might look striking to your Sega eyes, but by today's standards it looks pretty bland....

If beauty is in the eye of the beholder and everyones' perceptions unto themselves, how can you impose set standards for judgement? Which adventure games are setting such unassailable standards now, and in what ways specifically?

well not bad.... i thought it would have been a good idea to make a 64x, to put on top of the 32x.... and at each generation u add a layer, so now u'd have a 128x... until u reach the ceiling, then u're f**ked...

Humorously enough, there is a picture out there of a leaning tower of SEGA - a stacking of a Genesis > tray-loading SEGA CD > 32X > Game Genie > Sonic and Knuckles lock-on cartiridge > Sonic 3 (something like that anyway!)
