That smug smile Napoleon Dynamite here is wearing apparently got wiped off pretty quick when after posting some of the first live Xbox 360 shots in the wild, he apparently started begging the forum mods where he dropped them to take it down. His reason? His step dad started at MS as “Regulatory Compliance Managerâ€￾, and he got ahold of a hardware test unit—we can only guess the rest. Way to go kid, busting your step father’s NDA, then publicly outing him to his coworkers and the world. You are so grounded until you’re 18.

Uhmnn...no the wires are for testing purposes. His step dad was just got hired by MS!!! Then he started bragging the BOX on the Internet about how he had an Xbox 360 unit in his hands. It turns out that the unit belongs to his step dad who just got hired at Microsoft.

Poor kid is begging to get the thread deleted , but the cat is already out of the bag. His dad might be in trouble if MS finds this out!!!

He's playing Halo 2...so yeah backward compatibility is now confirmed working with XBOX 360.

It looks like a dev kit with the debug module ( which sits on top ) removed.

I have seen larger versions of the same pics. Whoever took those pics, took the worst ones they possibly could. On the larger versions of the pics, you can clearly see all the serial numbers and such on the side of the console.Not hard to track.

...... Someone got busted.

I believe it has to be "Viral Marketing". If not...then the kids father is going to be in a load of trouble. The kid deserves it...he probably was gloating about the fact that he got his hands on a 360, look where that got him

The thread where all this began has been deleted, but before he posted those pics he actualy posted a pic of his dads M$ id card to "prove" his dad works ( or should I say worked ) there LOL

He also mentioned some kind of Dolphin demo, which was just there to show off fps. Apparantly the demo ran at 3000+ fps.

In the original thread his step dad sounds ok about the photos but didn’t want him to show the power cord, apparently it’s very bulky. The business card proof sounds a bit weird too, unless he just has one lying around.

Even if it was a genuine mistake, he hasn’t really disclosed anything that wasn’t known already, unless photographical evidence is part of the agreement?

Well...they probably just moved as his step-dad just got the job. Anyways, his dad has reponsibilties on this one too...knowing the NDA agreement he could have talked the his son and all.
