Is someone playing games with our minds? "Look, we don't STATE that, but you MUST think we'll be able to emulate GameCube!".. In fact... why not?

are executables also .EXE on Macs? (i presume the devkit is G5 based)
xbox has his .XBE's but then again, has maybe nothing to do with it..

that's a lot of HD space....or is it? (I really don't know)

What kind of hardware is there in the current XDK hardware (beyond the retail xbox)?

Kinda normal, i have around 93GB free, my HD is 160GB...

well, is that amount normal for a developer kit (lots of uncompressed data)?....especially if the final game is about the size of a dvd?

cool

I wonder what the xbox 2 will look like.......I wouldn't mind it having it similar to xbox 1, but it is kinda.....boxy.:p

maybe even sport some indents on the top so the xbox 1 snuggly fits on top

Xenon Dev-kit runs a version WinNT compiled for ppc. And therefore could run .exes. :D

at least the white is there .
rumors last year hinted at the removal of those 2 buttons (white black)

It's probably a pic taken from someone's modified Xbox. A pic of a Dashboard perhaps.

Why wouldn't executables be EXE on a windows platform? Windows CE uses EXE files. The EXE format isn't x86 specific. Just check out all the platforms listed in winnt.h in the Platform SDK (just search for IMAGE_FILE_MACHINE).

Of course, the EXE files will still have all the original DOS headers in them, and even have an old x86 DOS stub, but the PE header used by Windows will have the CPU set to PowerPC.
