I was simply quoting an article from Japan's largest newspaper.

PS. There is no mistake about the meaning of (À­Ç½), it means "performance" to people who can read the word without a use of dictionary as it is used in the article. There is another word for "efficiency" (¸úΨ). (À­Ç½) is almost never used to mean "efficiency" unless the subject of sentence starts with "efficiency"

À­Ç½ <- Performance
¸úΨ <- Efficiency

The article clearly stated that CELL will have a performace upto 10 times that of conventional processors, no other interpretation is possible for people who CAN read it without the use of a dictionary.

The dispute was about the correctly translated meaning of certain Japanese word and not the system advocacy.

Beside, almost everyone who does know something about computer architecture knew from the beginning that it was impossible to obtain teraflop from a single chip from the beginning....

And now your changing your story(again), a few months ago you said a quad core Cell chip at 1TFLOPS was possible but it being in PS3 would be imposible.

Well DM, that thread won't go anywhere, it will be either Vince, Pana or Paul going back and forth with you like ping pong. There is too many ping pong thread, we all kinda tired.

Why don't you go dig up some Xbox2 spec, since Fafalada already mentioned there is more known about Xbox2, then there is PS3. It will make interesting discussion.

The thread was locked because of the redundant PS3 related threads you create. This board is not your personal bashing ground for Sony and the technology it creates. There are other threads related to the PS3 and CELL technology that this article would fit right in with.

I'd just like to expand on what sonic said . This is not a forum to bash anyone or anything . This goes for everyone . This is not the bash chap forum . This is not the bash deadmeat forum. Nor is it a bash sony , sega , nintendo , microsoft.
