Whats the X800s max texture size?

Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a $49 psx than to buy a $500 graphics card to emulate it?

1. I already have the card.
2. If I buy another console I would have to sleep on the doormat for like a week.
3. I dont have TV so what would I do with a PSX?
4. And I am out of power outlets on my 6 foot long power strip.
