What is greyed out pc on Network

What does the greyed out computer mean? Is that a currently connected pc?

Computer names, and the greyed out one was an ip. Didn't know if it was that important...

Yeah just upgraded to 3.0mbps, a hell of a lot better than that connection.

eh I once had 2Mb/128Kb DSL. I would have loved that 768K/384K .

Now there's an ip that's oen off from my computer that is connected that isn't greyed out. I have wireless turned off so I have no clue how a 2nd computer is showing up.

What is the name being assigned to the mysterious gray computer? That may help, and if it isn't yours it shouldn't be much of a security risk.

My 2 computers showed up, and the grey one was a random IP.

Now that IP is logged on/in color. My wireless is off. I'm trying to figure out how I can disable or disconnect a computer, or figure out what it is.

++ I cant even figure out how to make my dsl modem/router (2wire as well) become just a dumb modem so i can let my proper linksys router do it's job.
