What browser do you use?

Mozilla 1.4b at the moment, both for browsing and mail. Mozilla has come a really long way since the V0.6 days, especially in combination with the plugins from mozdev.org. (Mouse gestures, Advanced tabbed browsing etc...)
I've tried Opera several times (the last time Opera 7), but it still has problems with too many sites I visit.

Just to be different I use a combination of browsers across a variety of machines,

This is currently under Konqueror under Linux KDE 3.1.x (I think thats the version, I let debian work it out).

I also use IE 6.x (whatever XP is using these days).

I also use Dillo (that doesn't actually render this site that well, but it doesn't render google correctly either, so I'd blame the browser). If your wondering why I use Dillo sometimes, its because its the best browser (I've found so far) for 800x480 (thats not a typo) and uses only 3Mb of memory. Mini browsers are important for mini-pc's, its running on my Libretto which only has 32Mb RAM. Things like Mozilla and Galeon use around 20Mb for themselves!

And Lynx of course. Lynx is a life saver, no machine that has a TCP/IP connection should ship without it. (I've used it on many PC's and even an Amiga and a VAX). Penny arcade loses something under Lynx though :)

There the ones I use regularly.

I use ie 6 on my xp machine and opera 7.11 for my redhat 7.2 linux box I love opera, I find myself using my linux box more then my main machine these days for browsing.

IE6 as it is simply easy to use. I also use Mozilla 1.4 RC1 and Mozilla Firebird, but only for testing our webstuff. I haven't really come to like Opera for some reason.. :?

I've been using Mozilla since 1.0 and its been great. Pop-up blocking works great and I love having tabs load in the background. I just click the middle mouse button (scroll wheel) and keep reading the current page while the next page loads.

I've never tried any of the plugins. Any suggestions Snyder? It looks like optimoz has mouse gestures so I'll have to try that one out.

I use Mozilla, with the tabbed browsing extensions, the flash blocking (click to play) extension.

Never liked opera, and i hate the way IE works, and i hate how non standards compliant it is.

If there is something you want for moz, chances are, someone wrote the plugin for it - mouse gestures, etc.

Ditto for Konqueror at home on my linux box (although I use Netscape to browse B3D because Konq' seems to time-out the login cookies very quickly?!? :( )
while I use Netscape on my windoze work PC.

ie6 on windows, mozilla 1.4rc on linux...

Question for all you mozilla users - I've set up ie so that if i type "g phrase", "guk phrase" and "d phrase" into the address bar ie searches google/google uk/deja for phrase. Is there a way to set up mozilla to do the same?

Of course. Just set Google your default search engine in the preferences, and whenever you enter something that's not an URL in the address bar, mozilla deploys a google search.

That's not the same thing. With mozilla you have to press the down arrow and then return to do the search - means I have to move my hands off the home position, not a major change but a significant niggle IMHO. Further, mozilla's only searching the specified engine, whereas with ie6 I can define a the prefix for each search engine I use (in this case the 3 quoted).

Tried the mouse gestures for Mozilla yesterday, pretty cool! Though I could probably live without them, I guess I'll be using them more and see how I like them in the long run.

Tab works just as well as the down arrow and it is easy to hit if you touch type.

One other relatively new feature of Mozilla I like is incremental search. Mozilla calls it find as you type, but regardless of the name it beats hitting control-f to open up a search box. Also, thanks for the plugin suggestions guys.
