Water on Mars finally confirmed

Now all we need to do is test that ice to see if it once contained life, it might... and if it did that would be a really cool discovery.

It would be cool, but how useful? Personally i'm looking forward to the landing on one-of-the-many-of-Saturn's-moons-I-can't-remember-the-name....

Europa is the moon your probably talking about. They seem to think there might be an ocean under its ice which may hold life.

Europa orbits Jupiter and is completely covered by ice and probably has liquid water underneath.

The Saturn moon in question is Titan which is the only moon in the solar system with an atmosphere. I believe it also has oceans etc.

Both moons stand a reasonable chance of supporting life (relatively speaking).

Yeah Titan's what i was talking about. Europa and Io are 2 of the many moons of the big daddy Jupiter... I'm over Mars and the Moon... I want deep space travel!

The thing is, if they can't get an Aibo to land safely onto Mars and transmit information for more than 1 hour, how do they expect the Titan's mission to succeed?

And in other news seti@home has found a transmission from somewhere around the vicinity of jupiter.

"All these worlds are yours, Except Europa. Attempt no landings there."

After futher analisys scientists agree that the transmition really read:
"All these worlds are yours, Except Europa. All Europa Base are belong to us."
