I respect someone who comes up and say:"I believe this for such and such reasons", forthright that is. I can't take when someone comes up and says "I believe you should do/act/think/vote/go/whatever this for such and such reasons."

I think what you are saying though, is that you'd prefer "I believe Mozilla Firefox is a better browser than IE: here is why...blah blah"
But if a little wording issue causes you to ignore information, you need to do some serious growing up.
