They had no trust of america. In a weird way not finding WMDs _should_ increase their trust of america, since we did not plant any evidence. Maybe a stretch but i plan on making the case, when i go see my wife again next month.

But, the ''what if?'' is what if they're misteriously found in the coming months... yeah, it most likely won't happen... but it'd be an interesting scenario.

I very much doubt that any WMDs will be found, if they havent been found by now. So no need to worry about what if scenarios.

The source for the WMD rumors...

"Iranian news outlet Mehr News reported that, according to an Iraqi Governing Council official, U.S. and British forces were secretly importing WMD to locations in southern Iraq.

The accuracy of these reports is a legitimate concern, and they may eventually prove false. But Iranian News can be credited with being the first to report on the capture of Saddam Hussein, and also how Kurdish forces played a role in that event at least equal to the Americans, a fact omitted by initial American reports."

PS But, I agree, the info is most likely fake... but if the 1 in a million chances event does occur, that is if WMD are suddenly found in the coming months...
