I have to pay for my bandiwdth and these fuckers are going to FORCE me to download 2MB every so often which adds up every month. This is fucked.
I'd rather the current adds and popups because they are so easy to block. (I don't block B3D's adds though, I even click on B3D's adds :))

This shit will be much more difficult, or so they say.
I can't wait until someone develops methods to block these stupid adds if they become a part of the future.
I will make software my damn self to block this crap.

Some sites go overboard and now, having to watch a stupid add 2MB for 30 seconds. I should have control over what I want to see on my computer.

The internet isn't a fucking TV FFS. I am so pissed off.
Technically the dictionary definition of spam only mentions unsolicited e-mail being spam but shit like this should also be considered as spam.

EDIT:
In future, I can see all those penis commercials on my computer popping up every so often.

I don't mind supporting the sites I visit, in fact I do support them (add clicks). These commercials though do piss me off badly.

I doubt the page will be displayed if it cant load the ad, so you will need something more advanced than a firewall. Everyone will just use a blocker which pretends it is getting played though, and after a while get pissed off that they have to wait 30 seconds before seeing the site ... net result, negative.

Until they take over our computer (trusted computing) shit like this is useless, ahh so much to look forward too.

Pfffft! Mozilla will have a plug-in to stop it within a week of the ads coming out.

Don't worry Kruno, this will only affect the (l)users out there...not me and thee. ;)

Yeah, perhaps, but it's not that different from the idiot companies that already sell banner advertising. I get pissed off waiting for pages to load because adbox.com or doubleclick.net or whoever have screwed up their servers and hence slow down the browsing of every site that hosts their banners.

The basic answer -- boycot sites that do it.

I see this as the final middle finger to low-bandwidth users...

"Yeah, while you're trying to load this plain text site that should only take ~10 seconds to load, we'll force you to stream in a 320x240 or higher VIDEO that's probably over 10,000 times the size of the original site..."

What has always happened with clickthroughs is that someone releases some software to curcumvent them, or people go to other sites.

Heck, they did some studies, and if your web page takes more than 10 seconds to load, people start thinking about going to other sites, let alone waiting to get through long ads.

I would not mind paying for e-mail ... as long as I was paying the recipient. I send him something, he sends me a reply if he didnt consider it spam. None of us looses money. For acquintances and mailing lists you would simply have whitelists.

The way they set it out, paying for e-mail seems like a good idea.
As long as all that spam goes away. If I have to look at another *increase your penis size /*insert radical number here*/ times* I will go insane.

I don't send many e-mails.
5 a month, if even that.
I don't mind spending 5 cents to some ISP as long as all spam disappears from my inbox and never returns. My best friend gets over 200 bits of spam in his inbox every fortnight. It builds up so quickly, no wander he never checks his mail anymore.

I don't mind paying a couple of cents here and there as long as spam disappears, if it doesn't then I would be pissed. Not as pissed as I am at that internet commercials crap.

First it will start off as a minor problem, overtime more and more websites have internet commercials.

Eventually we will see more of those penis adds popping up.
