Sony Entertainment is holding a show at the TGS 2006 on Sept. 22nd starting 10 a.m, called "PS3, the creation of next-gen entertainment". Speaker: Ken Kutaragi. He's supposed to give an outlook on the future of entertainment.

Thanks hupfinsgack, I suppose the people in NA should get info on thursday due to time zones then. I wonder if any sites will be streaming video of the keynote.
 
Thats pretty interesting. You think they will be doing their own thing? or will they have a booth with some eye toy stuff?
According to the list (as of Sep 14) at the TGS website they are the sole exhibitor at the "International Meeting Booth" so they might do their own technology showcase.

As I wrote in another thread SCEI's Masaaki OKA once submitted a similar patent app ("Image generating method utilizing on-the-spot photograph and shape data", US patent app 20040223190) but it's not granted. If Prime Sense have a patent on this technology in their portfolio, it's possible they license it to Sony or other companies.
